The Basics
Oklahoma State's women's tennis team (7-4 overall; 0-0 Big 12) is set to open conference play starting with a matchup with No. 40 Baylor (8-6 overall; 0-0 Big 12) followed by 12th-ranked Texas (9-2 overall; 0-0 Big 12). The Cowgirls and the Bears square off at 6 p.m. (CST) on March 10 in Waco. Two days later, OSU will face off at Texas on March 12 at 12 p.m. (CST).

Oklahoma State checked in at No. 34 in this week's 2022-23 ITA Tennis Division 1 national women's tennis rankings. The Cowgirls have three student-athletes ranked in the ITA rankings, with senior Alana Wolfberg landing at No. 109 in singles. The undefeated Cowgirl doubles duo of Ayumi Miyamoto and Raquel Gonzalez checked in at No. 31.
Series History
Baylor leads Oklahoma State 11-21 all-time with the last matchup coming in 2022 where the Cowgirls defeated the Bears, 5-2. Oklahoma State holds a 9-36 all-time record against Texas. The last matchup against the Longhorns was in 2022 where Texas won, 4-1, in the semifinals of the Big 12 Championships.
Oklahoma State From a Distance
The Cowgirls started off the spring dual season with a 6-1 victory over Tulsa. OSU hosted the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Stillwater where the Cowgirls were able to show off their depth. OSU went 1-1, finishing the weekend with a 4-0 shutout against Oregon. OSU then dropped a hard-fought match against 16th-ranked Michigan, 2-4, in the championship round. Following the Kickoff Weekend, OSU lost a pair of matches on the road against No. 11 Ohio State and No. 12 Michigan before sweeping Louisana Tech, Oral Roberts, Wichita State and No. 41 South Carolina, 4-0. The Cowgirls hit the road again and finished the weekend with a 5-2 victory over UC Santa Barbara and a loss to 9th-ranked Pepperdine.
