ORLANDO, Fla. – Oklahoma State's standout doubles team of Ayumi Miyamoto and Raquel Gonzalez saw its run at the NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championship come to an end in the round of 32.
The Cowgirls dropped a hard-fought match against Wake Forest's Anna Brylin and Brooke Killingsworth, 6-7 (5), 7-5, (7-10).
With both sides going toe-to-toe thought the first to force a tiebreaker, Wake Forest battled back to take the last four points to secure the set.
The Cowgirls did not let the deficit deter them in the second set after winning three straight games to force a third set.
The two pairs went back and forth throughout the entire third set but ultimately the Demon Deacons took the match in the 10-point tiebreaker.
The OSU duo finished with an impressive 14-3 mark on the season with a 6-1 record in conference play.
