Cowgirl Softball falls short against Arkansas in fall scrimmage
October 04, 2025 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER - The Oklahoma State softball team came up short against Arkansas, 5-3, in an 11-inning fall scrimmage Saturday afternoon at Cowgirl Stadium.
The 11-inning scrimmage was not a traditional scrimmage, but consisted of different situational looks for each team. Instead of keeping track of individual runs scored, each team was awarded a point if they scored the most runs in an inning.
Arkansas scored points in the first, third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings, while the Cowgirls notched points in the sixth, 10th and 11th.
Looking at individual performances, Karli Godwin went 3-for-4, with a home run, while Rosie Davis, Amanda Hasler, Tia Warsop and Gabby Castillo all tabbed multi-hit days. Warsop showed off her speed with an inside-the-park home run in the 10th to secure a point for the Pokes.
The Cowgirl pitching staff combined to split up the 11-inning contest. Preslee Downing tossed 4.0 innings of work, RyLee Crandall saw 3.0 innings of action, and Madison Hoffman and Ruby Meylan each pitched 2.0 innings.
The Cowgirls resume their fall ball slate against USAO on Tuesday, Oct. 7, with first pitch set for 7 p.m. at Cowgirl Stadium.
