STILLWATER -- Oklahoma State men's basketball forward Patrick Suemnick has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.
Â
CSC (formerly known as CoSIDA) annually recognizes top student-athletes for their combined performance on the court and in the classroom.
Â
To be eligible for all-district status, men's basketball players must have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA while participating in at least 90 percent of their team's games (or starting at least two-thirds of them).
Â
Suemnick, a Green Bay, Wisc. native who transferred to OSU last summer, is a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection. He earned his Bachelor of Integrated Studies at West Virginia and is on track to complete a graduate certificate in recreation management from OSU later this spring.
Â
The 6-foot-8 forward appeared in 34 games with one start during the 2024-25 season and averaged 3 points and 2 rebounds while helping the Cowboys reach the quarterfinals of the NIT. He scored a season-high 11 points in the Nov. 10 win over St. Thomas and had 10 apiece in Big 12 victories over Arizona State and Colorado.
Â
Suemnick is Cowboy Basketball's first academic all-district selection since 2021.
