April 08, 2025 | Cowboy Basketball
STILLWATER -- Oklahoma State's 2025-26 back court continues to take shape with the addition of rising sophomore Vyctorius Miller (pronounced "victorious") from the transfer portal.
Â
Miller – who goes by the nickname "VJ" -- appeared in 25 games for LSU as a true freshman, averaging 8.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 19.0 minutes.
Â
The 6-foot-5 guard scored at least 15 points in seven of the Tigers' 13 non-conference games but was limited by ankle injuries over the final six weeks of the season, missing seven games over two separate stints.
Â
The Los Angeles native comes from a famous family. His father, Vyshonn Miller, is rapper "Silkk the Shocker" and uncle, Percy Miller, is better known as "Master P."
Â
"VJ comes from a successful family who have given him a great foundation for success," head coach Steve Lutz said. "He's a hard-working, highly skilled, competitive guard with great size and unlimited potential. He has a chance to be an impact player for us in the Big 12 on day one."
Â
Miller scored a season-high 20 points against Mississippi Valley State on Dec. 29 and had 15 and 16 respectively in November wins over Big 12 foes Kansas State and UCF. His best SEC outing came in late February when he put up 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting against Elite Eight-bound Tennessee.
Â
A consensus four-star recruit ranked 60th in the Class of 2024 by 247Sports Composite, Miller spent two years at Arizona Compass Prep (2022-24) after playing his sophomore season (2021-22) at Crean Lutheran High School (Irvine, Calif.).
Â
Miller helped Compass to a 27-6 record and a spot in the 2024 Chipotle Nationals, scoring 18 points in the team's quarterfinal round game. He also averaged 11.5 points and 1.7 steals in EYBL Nike Scholastic League play while shooting 41.4% from three-point range.
At Crean Lutheran, Miller averaged 20 points, five rebounds and four assists to help his team to the CIF Southern Section Open Division Playoffs.
Â
Miller is OSU's third spring transfer addition, joining former Mississippi State and Penn State guard Kanye Clary and Green Bay transfer Anthony Roy.
