Cowboy Tennis Prepped for ITA All-American Championships

STILLWATER - Oklahoma State's men's tennis team returns to Tulsa this week for the ITA All-American Championships beginning on Saturday morning.Â

Head coach Dustin Taylor will send the same trio of Cowboys as last weekend with Ian Bracks, Thomas Gadecki and Nicolas Kobelt all competing. Each Cowboy will compete individually in the singles portion of the tournament, while Bracks and Gadecki will play together on the doubles side.Â

At 9 a.m., Gadecki kicks off the tournament for the Cowboys, taking on fellow Big 12 opponent from Arizona State, Niels Villard. Kobelt then matches up against Mississippi State's Roberto Ferrer Guimaraes at 10:30 a.m. Thirty minutes later Bracks rounds out the day against Dartmouth's Henry Ren at 11 a.m.

Following singles play, Gadecki and Bracks will move to doubles and face Auburn's pair of Nicholas Heng and Joseph Phillips in their opening round matchup, beginning at 3 p.m. CT.

All three Pokes claimed a victory at the UTR Tulsa event, headlined by Bracks who advanced all the way to the quarterfinals.

The ITA All-American Championships give out 10 singles spots (eight main draw quarterfinalists & two feed-in consolation finalists) and four doubles spots (four main draw semifinalists) to the NCAA Individual Championships in November.Â
