About Oklahoma State
    • Oklahoma State is 2-3-1 on the season and returns to action Thursday night in Tulsa when the Cowgirls take on Oral Roberts. It marks OSU's only game of the week, a trend it will continue for each of the next three weeks.    • The Cowgirls are coming off a 14-5-3 season in 2024 in which they finished fifth in the Big 12 Conference standings with a 6-3-2 mark and earned a berth in the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship, where OSU lost in the first round to No. 2 national seed Arkansas.
    • OSU returns seven players who started at least 10 games for the Cowgirls last season, including All-Big 12 performers Gracie Bindbeutel, Xcaret Pineda and Laudan Wilson.
    • Head coach Colin Carmichael entered his 21st season at the helm in 2025 with a career record of 265-110-53 (.681).
Â
Three Decades
The 2024 season marks the 30th in program history, and Oklahoma State has built itself into one of women's college soccer's top programs.    • Over its first 29 seasons, OSU posted a 348-190-66 (.631) record.
    • OSU has made 14 appearances in the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship. The Cowgirls have earned a NCAA tourney berth in 13 of the last 19 years (beginning in 2006) and seven of the last 12.
    • From 2006-11, the Cowgirls earned six-straight NCAA tourney bids and advanced to at least the second round each time, including back-to-back Elite Eight appearances in 2010 and 2011.
    • From 2008-11, OSU celebrated four consecutive Big 12 championships — two regular season (2008, '11) and two tournament ('09, '10). The Cowgirls also won regular season titles in 2017 and 2019.
    • Six Cowgirls have earned All-America honors, with Yolanda Odenyo, AD Franch, Melinda Mercado, Haley Woodard, Kim Rodriguez and Grace Yochum on that elite list.
Â
Last Week
OSU began the week by traveling to Houston for a Thursday night match at Rice. The Cowgirls scored first, but the Owls tallied the next three goals. OSU pulled to within one in the 75th minute, but the game ended in a 3-2 loss for the visitors.    On Sunday, the Cowgirls hosted No. 17 Mississippi State. The game went into halftime scoreless, but the Bulldogs scored in the first minute out of the break and held on for the 1-0 win as OSU was shut out for the first time this season.
Â
Scouting The Opponent
    • Oral Roberts is 4-2-0 on the season and has won its last four matches, all via shutout.    • Austin Risenhoover is in his fourth season as ORU's head coach and has led the Golden Eagles to a 31-26-12 record.
    • The Cowgirls are 14-2-0 all time against ORU and have won the last 12 matchups. Last season, OSU claimed a 1-0 win in Stillwater, where the previous five contests have been held. The last time the two teams played on ORU's home field was 2008, with the Cowgirls picking up a 5-1 win.
Â
It's An Honor
OSU returns four players who were recognized with Big 12 honors in 2024 in All-Big 12 First Team midfielders Xcaret Pineda and Laudan Wilson, All-Big 12 Second Team forward Gracie Bindbeutel and defender Katelyn Hoppers, who was named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team.    The Cowgirls also added transfer Jazmin Brown, who was an All-Big 12 Second Team defender at Kansas State a year ago.
Â
Preseason Love
Three Cowgirls were named to the 27-member Preseason All-Big 12 Team, which is voted on by the league's head coaches. Midfielders Xcaret Pineda and Laudan Wilson and defender Jazmin Brown all collected the honor.    Additionally, Pineda was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Preseason Best XI Third Team and was ranked No. 30 on the outlet's National Top 100 list.
Â
Dynamic Duo
Senior Xcaret Pineda and junior Laudan Wilson are both on the United Soccer Coaches 2025 Women's Midfielders to Watch list, which is compiled and released by the Division I All-America Committee.Â
Elite
Xcaret Pineda is one of 43 players on the 2025 Hermann Trophy Watch List, which was compiled by members of the Division I Women's All-America Council.    The Hermann Trophy is presented annually by the Missouri Athletic Club and is the nation's highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year determined by voting of Division I head coaches who are members of United Soccer Coaches.Â
OSU has had two Hermann Trophy semifinalists in its history, Yolanda Odenyo in 2008, and AD Franch, who made that list in 2010 and 2011.
Â
X Gon' Give It To Ya
It's safe to say OSU's offense runs through Xcaret Pineda.    The Cowgirls' senior midfielder has played a role in six of OSU's nine goals this season, finding the back of the net five times and also recording an assist. She notched the first multi-goal game of her career with a brace against Arkansas State.Â
Pineda ranks third in the Big 12 and 11th nationally in goals and is third in the league and 21st in the NCAA with 11 points, She leads the Big 12 with 22 shots, nine of those on frame.
With just one more goal, Pineda will tie her career high for goals in a season — she has tallied six goals each of the last two seasons.
In 67 career games, 63 of those starts, Pineda has recorded 19 goals and 12 assists while taking 157 shots.
Â
Four Corners
OSU leads the Big 12 and ranks sixth nationally with 44 corner kicks.    And the Cowgirls have taken advantage of those scoring opportunities as five of their nine goals have come off corner kicks.
Taryn Thibeau has recorded a career-high three assists, with each coming off a corner kick, while Jazmin Brown's two goals are also a career best and both came on headers off a corner kick.
