Meylan named to 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Watchlist

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Softball's Ruby Meylan is among 50 student-athletes named to the 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year Watch list announced today.
Meylan is one of six student-athletes in the country to be named to the preseason watchlist in three consecutive years (dating back to her time at Washington).
The 6-foot-2 senior is coming off a season in which she set career-bests in ERA (1.81), wins (21), strikeouts (238) and opponents' batting average (.201), capped off with the second NFCA All-America honor of her career.
A year ago, Meylan finished as one of just 10 pitchers in the nation to reach the 20-win, 200-strikeout mark.
The top 25 finalists for the 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award will be announced April 29.
The top 10 finalists will be released on May 13 , and the top three will be revealed on May 18. The 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year will be announced prior to the start of the NCAA Women's College World Series.
