STILLWATER – Oklahoma State kicker Sam Keltner is the best kicker in the nation through the first half of the college football season according to the Associated Press, as he was named the first team kicker on the AP midseason All-America team.
A three-time Big 12 Special Team Player of the Week and two-time Lou Groza Award Star of the Week, Keltner is 12-for-12 on field goal attempts to start his Oklahoma State career, which matches the seventh-longest streak in school history and the longest streak to start a Cowboy career. It's the longest streak since Tanner Brown made 16 straight spanning the 2021 and 2022 seasons. Keltner, who is also 19-for-19 on PAT attempts, is the only FBS kicker with more than 10 field goal attempts who is still perfect.
He ranks No. 1 in the FBS in field goal percentage and is also No. 1 in field goals made per game. His average of 11.0 points per game ranks No. 7 among all FBS players.
Season tickets are sold out to Oklahoma State football games this year, but there are still opportunities to get tickets to see the Cowboys in Stillwater.
