STILLWATER – Oklahoma State women's distance runner Gentry Turner dropped a devastating kick over the final 1,000 meters to win her first career cross country race at the fourth annual Weis-Crockett Invitational in Stillwater on Saturday.
Turner led the eighth-ranked Cowgirls to their second meet victory of the season as they scored 19 points on the day to defeat Kansas State, Oral Roberts and East Texas A&M. Behind Turner, the Cowgirls placed all five scorers in the top seven overall, with Autumn Michalski, Mandeep Sangha, Adelynn Rodriguez and Paige Stuart placing second, fourth, fifth and seventh, respectively.
With Turner's victory on Saturday, a Cowgirl has now won all four editions of the Weis-Crockett Invitational, with Billah Jepkirui (2022), Lauren Ping (2024) and Maureen Rutoh (2025) all claiming victories in previous years.
On the men's side, the second-ranked Cowboys took care of business to secure their second meet victory of the season as they defeated Kansas State and Oral Roberts by 36 and 41 points on the day. Overall, the OSU men scored 20 points as Henry Dover, Noah Strohman, Will Conway, Nate Stadtlander and Keegan Thomas placed 2-3-4-5-6 to lock up the team title.
