Oklahoma State leads the Big 12 with 13 weekly awards this season.
STILLWATER – No. 24 Oklahoma State added two more Big 12 weekly football awards Monday following its win over Colorado as cornerback LaDainian Fields was named Defensive Player of the Week and kicker Sam Keltner was named Special Teams Player of the Week.
It is the fourth weekly honor this season Keltner, which is more than any other Big 12 player, and the first for Fields. It is also the 13th Big 12 weekly honor for Oklahoma State in 2026, which is more than any other Big 12 team.
Keltner, who was also honored after the Oregon, West Virginia and UCF wins, matched a school record against Colorado with five field goals made, going five-for-five on field goal attempts. That total also matched the most for any FBS player in a game this season, and two of the five were from longer than 40 yards with a long of 47 yards.
His five made field goals also extended his streak of makes to 18, matching Matt Ammendola's school record that spanned the 2017 and 2018 seasons. Keltner's streak has broken the previous OSU single-season record of 17 that was set by Dan Bailey in 2010.
Also 28-for-28 on PAT attempts, Keltner ranks No. 1 in the nation in field goals made, field goal percentage and total points scored by a kicker. He is 18-for-18 this season, which is five more made field goals than any other kicker without a miss.
Fields had two interceptions in OSU's win to increase his season total to four. He was the only Big 12 player and one of just two Power 4 players to record two interceptions this week, and he became the first Cowboy with two interceptions in a game since Trey Rucker against No. 12 Utah in 2024. Fields returned the interceptions for a combined 39 yards, including a long return of 36 yards. They both set up Cowboy scoring drives, including one that started at the CU 9-yard line.
A cornerback, Fields recorded 1.5 tackles for loss and tied for the team lead with eight tackles, with seven of those tackles holding CU to a gain of five or fewer yards. He also added a pass breakup, with all three of his passes defended occurring in the second half to play a big role in OSU engineering a second-half shutout. For his efforts, Fields was given a game ball by head coach Eric Morris in the locker room after the game.
Season tickets are sold out to Oklahoma State football games this year, but there are still opportunities to get tickets to see the Cowboys in Stillwater. A small number of single-game tickets remain for the November 28 game against Kansas, but the November 15 game against Texas Tech is sold out.
Tickets are available at www.okstate.com/tickets or by contacting the ticket office at 877-ALL-4-OSU. Fans can still secure their tickets to sold out games through SeatGeek, the official secondary partner of OSU Athletics.
