Q&A with Cowboy Football running back Tre Page III
April 17, 2026 | Cowboy Football
Cowboy Football redshirt sophomore running back Tre Page III
On why he chose Oklahoma State University:
"I'm 12 hours from home, so I wouldn't just say it was easy, but I feel like the team and the coaches have helped me feel more comfortable since I've been here. I didn't know anybody. When I met them, it really was our first impression. They made me feel like I was at home on my visit. Coach Cobbs was very genuine to me and my family."
On his experience with Coach Cobbs so far:
"[Coach Cobbs] is a great guy, both coaching and outside of football. I'm comfortable with him and I feel like I can go talk to him about anything. I want to play under a great coach, and I'm trying to go to the next level, and I think him and Coach Morris will help me get there."
On the players in the running back room:
"Everybody has their own style of play that's unique, but at the end of the day, we all complement each other to help the next guy thrive in a situation... The running back room is great. We do a good job of not competing with each other. When it comes to all of us making plays, we all celebrate with each other when we make plays and we're happy for each other."
On running back Caleb Hawkins:
"Before we even got into pads, I realized he's a great guy off the field. He even helped me learn the plays. As a player, he's a great player and a great teammate to have. You know he's going to go get the job done."
On the adjusting to the new roster:
"At first, everybody was getting to know each other, and meeting all the coaches, because the coaches are new too… I feel like we've done great, as a team and a coaching staff, helping everybody feel like one and not leaving anybody out."
On freshman running back KD Jones:
"KD is going to be great. We're in the same lifting group, so I see him grinding, he's trying to match my weights. When he's out here, he asks questions, and gives his best."
On quarterback Drew Mestemaker:
"Drew is great. I like Drew a lot, he is definitely the best quarterback that I've been around. With his communication and play style, he is very professional."
