Cowgirl Golf sits fifth entering Big 12 Championship finale

DALLAS – Oklahoma State women's golf continued play at the Big 12 Championship on Friday and will enter the weekend in fifth place.
The Cowgirls combined for a 2-over 290, a three-stroke improvement from Thursday's mark. OSU trails first-place Houston by 11 shots and second-place UCF by 7 heading into Saturday's final round.
Marta Silchenko carded a 3-under 69, the Cowgirls' low round of the day. The round tied for the second-lowest score in Friday's 70-player field and secured Silchenko her 20th career round in the 60s. The junior has recorded 10 rounds in the 60s during the 2025-26 season alone and is now tied for fifth place individually.
Ellie Bushnell played to a 2-under 70 for the second day in a row. Now 4 strokes under par, Bushnell sits in a tie atop the individual leaderboard with 18 holes left to play. The third-year Cowgirl has played at par or better in each of her last 6 rounds.
Summer Lee recorded the tournament's only bogey-free round of the day, finishing with a 1-under 71. This marked the first unblemished round of Lee's college career and led her to a 19-spot jump up the leaderboard, where she currently holds a share of 22nd place.
Tarapath Panya and Yu-Chu Chen added rounds of 80 and 81, respectively.
The Cowgirls return to the Dallas Athletic Club on Saturday at 8:50 a.m. for the third and final round of the Big 12 Championship. OSU will be paired with fourth-place Arizona State and sixth-place Texas Tech.
