Cowboys Extend Lead At Big 12 Championship

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team extended its lead during the third round of play at the Big 12 Championship on Tuesday with a 275 at Prairie Dunes Country Club.
OSU's 5-under day gave the Cowboys a 54-hole total of 821, 19-under par, nine shots clear of Arizona at the par-70, 6,996-yard layout. TCU is the only other team under par entering the final round, standing at 1-under 839.
Junior Preston Stout, the event's two-time defending champion, fired a 3-under 67 to maintain his two-shot lead on the field in the individual race. He stands at 11-under 199.
Stout opened his round with eight consecutive pars before carding his lone bogey of the day at the ninth. He would bounce back with a birdie at the 10th before carding birdies at the 14th, 16th and 17th to come home in 4-under 31.
His 54-hole total of 199 is the second-best in Big 12 Championship history, only behind Ludvig Aberg's 196 at the same venue in 2023.
Junior Ethan Fang rose 11 spots into a tie for sixth place at 207 after firing a 67 of his own that featured 16 pars, an eagle and a birdie.
Junior Gaven Lane posted a 72 and finished the day tied for 10th place at 208, while classmate Eric Lee signed for his second 71 of the event to share 15th place at 210.
Sophomore Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson posted his second consecutive 70 to stand at 211 and tied for 20th place.
The Cowboys will begin their final round tomorrow at 9:05 a.m. and will be grouped with Arizona, Texas Tech and TCU. Live scoring is available at scoreboard.clippd.com and live coverage on ESPN+ will begin at 11:30 a.m.Â
