STILLWATER – Oklahoma State junior Marta Silchenko has been named the Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Thursday.
Silchenko claimed the first individual tournament win of her career at the Huntington Bank Collegiate earlier this week, going 13-under to earn co-champion honors.
Silchenko led the Cowgirls to the team title as well, completing Oklahoma State's first tournament sweep since the 2023 Big 12 Championship. OSU finished at 25-under for the week, winning by three strokes.
The victory marked Silchenko's fourth consecutive top-10 finish. The Riga, Latvia, native closed the regular season with team-bests in stroke average (71.26), average scoring vs. par (+0.1), rounds in the 60s (9), rounds at par-or-better (13), and top-10 finishes (6).
This is the first weekly award of Silchenko's career. She is the first Cowgirl to earn the honor since it was changed from a monthly to a weekly format ahead of the Spring 2026 season. Before the change, Maddison Hinson-Tolchard was the last Oklahoma State golfer to win the award, taking home Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Month honors in April 2023.
Fellow Oklahoma State junior Gaven Lane earned Big 12 Men's Golfer of the Week status. This is the first time OSU has swept the award since April 2016, when Kenzie Neisen and Stratton Nolen each won.
Silchenko and the Cowgirls return to action on April 23 for the 2026 Big 12 Championship, where they'll look to capture the 26th conference championship in program history.
