Injuries force cancellation of Cowgirl Tennis matches with Kansas, Iowa State
April 09, 2026 | Cowgirl Tennis
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team is forfeiting this weekend's scheduled home matches against Kansas and Iowa State due to injuries resulting in a lack of available players.
The OSU roster consists of nine student-athletes, three of whom have been out for a significant amount of time due to season-ending injuries. An additional three Cowgirls are also sidelined with injuries and lingering after-effects. The accumulation has led to OSU forfeiting its last five matches.
"This has been a truly unique set of circumstances and my heart goes out to our Cowgirl seniors who won't get to play their final home matches at the Greenwood Tennis Center this weekend," OSU Director of Tennis Dustin Taylor said. "We will recognize and celebrate them publicly as part of Sunday's men's match."
The forfeit losses to Kansas and Iowa State bring Oklahoma State's season to a close with a final record of 8-12 overall and 5-8 in conference.
