May 16, 2026 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – Three home runs and a complete game effort from Ruby Meylan led the No. 15/15 Oklahoma State Softball team to a 7-2 victory over No. 14/17 Stanford at Cowgirl Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The win improved Oklahoma State to 40-15 overall, while Stanford dropped to 38-14.
Rosie Davis, Karli Godwin and Tia Warsop all tallied a long ball to power the Cowgirls to victory.
Davis started the scoring early with her 15th home run of the season to give the Cowgirls a 1-0 lead in the first inning. The long ball marked her 32nd of her OSU career, which moves her into a tie for fourth place on OSU's career home run list.
Two innings later, Godwin homered for the second-straight game to extend the OSU advantage to four runs in the third inning. The three-run shot marked Godwin's sixth career postseason home run and her 17th RBI in postseason play.
Warsop shifted the scoreboard to 7-0 in the sixth inning with a three-run shot, her second home run of the year.
Ruby Meylan earned the win for the Cowgirls to improve to 28-7. After allowing a leadoff single in the first inning, Meylan retired nine straight Stanford batters and allowed just four more baserunners over the course of her 21st complete game of the season. Meylan is four wins away from tying the OSU single-season record of 32 set by Melanie Roche in 1993.
Zoe Prystajko took the loss for Stanford, falling to 20-6.
Oklahoma State advances to the NCAA Stillwater Regional championship tomorrow at 3 p.m. CDT against the winner of Princeton/Eastern Illinois vs. Stanford. TV designations are set to be announced, however, the game can be heard on the Varsity Network app with Ryan Breeden on the call.
