All-American Kendra Lewis signs with Oklahoma State
June 17, 2026 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – Kendra Lewis, a 2025 All-American and first team All-Big Ten honoree, has signed with Oklahoma State Softball, head coach Kenny Gajewski announced Wednesday.
"Any time you have the opportunity to add an All-American to your roster, it's a no-brainer," Gajewski said. "Kendra has been an elite hitter in the Big Ten Conference for two seasons, and we feel that there is a whole lot of opportunity for her to grow as a pitcher in our program. Kendra fits The Cowgirl Way."
Lewis joins the Cowgirls with two years of eligibility remaining after spending her first two seasons at Wisconsin, where she posted a .364 batting average and 1.005 OPS over 269 at-bats and tallied 13 home runs, 12 doubles and 73 RBIs. Lewis also made 42 appearances in the circle, compiling an 8-7 record and 5.33 ERA in 93.1 innings of work.
"The second I stepped on campus and talked with the coaches, I knew this was exactly where I was meant to be," Lewis said. "I'm ready to give everything I've got to this program."
Lewis's collegiate honors include 2025 selections to the NFCA All-America third team, All-Big Ten first team, Big Ten All-Freshman Team, and the NFCA Great Lakes All-Region First Team.
She burst onto the scene as a freshman, batting .408 with a 1.092 OPS, seven homers and 39 RBIs in 45 games. As a pitcher that same season, Lewis had 24 strikeouts in 39.2 innings of work spread across 17 appearances.
As a sophomore in 2026, she ranked among the team leaders in batting average (.333), OPS (.951), runs batted in (35), hits (52), doubles (eight), home runs (seven) and walks (28). Lewis added 58.2 innings of work in 26 pitching appearances, going 5-3 with a 5.49 ERA and 37 strikeouts.
A graduate of Rockridge High School in Milan, Illinois, Lewis was the MaxPreps Illinois Softball Player of the Year and a second team All-American in 2022. Lewis led the Rockets to a 134-5-1 record and three Illinois 2A state titles, finishing her high school career with a .528 batting average, 0.95 ERA and 83-4 record in the circle.
Lewis is the third transfer to sign with Oklahoma State ahead of the 2027 season, joining catcher Kennedy Proctor (Utah) and utility player Maddie Hartley (Houston).
