June 22, 2026 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – Delainey Everett, a left-handed pitcher with three years of SEC experience, has signed with Oklahoma State Softball.
"We are thrilled to welcome Delainey to Stillwater," head coach Kenny Gajewski said. "When we got a chance to talk to her and go through the recruiting process with her, it became apparent very fast that she fit The Cowgirl Way. She's an extremely talented left-handed arm who has some big game experience and also competed in the SEC. We're thrilled to welcome Delainey to Oklahoma State."
Everett joins the Cowgirls with one year of eligibility remaining after spending her first three seasons at Mississippi State, where she made 51 appearances and compiled a 17-4 record, 2.55 ERA and 95 strikeouts over 126.1 innings.
"I'm beyond excited and grateful to announce that I'll be finishing my career with Oklahoma State Softball," Everett said. "From the moment I stepped on campus, I fell in love with the town, the atmosphere, and the incredible coaching and support staff. The coaches made me feel at home and showed me what it means to be a part of something special. I can't wait to get to Stillwater and be a Cowgirl!"
In 2026, Everett logged 24.1 innings of work across 12 appearances, posting a 3-2 record and 1.15 ERA. She capped off her junior season with a complete-game shutout against No. 2 Oklahoma on May 24, marking the first time in 399 games that the Sooners were held scoreless, a streak dating back to 2019.
As a sophomore in 2025, Everett made 25 appearances and tossed 74.1 innings, both career highs. Everett finished with a 10-2 record, 2.92 ERA and 49 strikeouts, as well as the first two saves of her career.
Everett emerged as a steady arm in the Bulldog bullpen as a freshman in 2024, throwing 27.1 innings in 14 appearances. She closed her first season in Starkville with a 4-0 record, 2.78 ERA and 37 strikeouts.
A standout in the classroom as well, Everett earned academic awards in each of her three years at Mississippi State, taking home NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors in 2026 and SEC Honor Roll recognition in 2024 and 2025.
A graduate of Oakdale High School in Oakdale, California, Everett was tabbed the No. 29 prospect in the nation by Extra Inning Softball in 2023. In 2022, she was named Player of the Year by CalHiSports.com and earned a first team all-league selection from MaxPreps. Everett finished her high school career with a 37-10 record across 63 appearances, posting a 0.71 ERA and 506 strikeouts in 295.1 innings. A successful two-way player, Everett also batted .454 with a 1.357 OPS over 264 plate appearances, tallying 104 hits, nine home runs, 32 doubles and 92 RBIs.
Everett is the fourth transfer to sign with Oklahoma State ahead of the 2027 season, joining catcher Kennedy Proctor (Utah) and utility players Maddie Hartley (Houston) and Kendra Lewis (Wisconsin).
