Cowgirl Softball claims No. 9 spot in D1Softball Transfer Class Rankings

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team was recognized today for attracting a top-10 national transfer class. D1Softball ranked the Cowgirls No. 9 on its list, which came about a month after Softball America ranked OSU's transfer class as the nation's third-best.
Oklahoma State added five transfers this offseason, signing left-handed pitcher Delainey Everett (Mississippi State), catcher Kennedy Proctor (Utah), and utility players Maddie Hartley (Houston), Payton Kennedy (Ole Miss) and Kendra Lewis (Wisconsin).
Everett went 17-4 with a 2.55 ERA and 95 strikeouts in 51 appearances over three seasons at Mississippi State. Her career as a Bulldog was highlighted by a complete-game shutout against No. 2 Oklahoma on May 24. In doing so, she became the first pitcher in 399 games to shut out the Sooners.
Proctor was a D1 Softball first team Freshman All-American in 2025 and proved herself as one of the best catchers in the Big 12 Conference through two seasons at Utah. In 95 games as a Ute, she batted .329 with a 1.053 OPS, adding 20 home runs, 23 doubles and 69 RBIs.
Hartley earned a second team All-Big 12 selection in 2026 after slugging the third-most home runs in the conference (20). She batted .303 with a 1.087 OPS in two seasons at Houston, tallying 25 home runs, 75 RBIs and 63 runs scored over 277 at-bats while also logging 49 innings of work across 29 career pitching appearances.
Kennedy, who was Extra Inning Softball's No. 25-ranked high school prospect in 2025, was limited to three appearances in her freshman season at Ole Miss. She was named to Softball America's Freshman Watch List in 2026 and logged a 6.00 ERA over seven innings of work. As a high schooler at Santa Margarita Catholic, Kennedy earned all-state, all-county, All-CIF, All-Trinity League and PGF All-America honors, as well as her school's Offensive Player of the Year award as a senior.
Lewis burst onto the college softball scene as a freshman at Wisconsin in 2025, earning third team NFCA All-America and first team All-Big Ten selections. She hit .364 with a 1.005 OPS and 73 RBIs over 269 at-bats as a Badger and added 42 appearances in the circle, pitching to an 8-7 record and 5.33 ERA in 93.1 innings of work.
Oklahoma State is one of eight Big 12 teams on D1Softball's list, joining Texas Tech (1), Arizona (6), Arizona State (8), Baylor (25), UCF (30), Iowa State (32) and Utah (34).
