Cowgirl Softball announces Big 12 Conference schedule

STILLWATER – The Big 12 Conference released its 2027 softball schedule on Thursday, with Oklahoma State set to host four series at Cowgirl Stadium.
After a trip to the Super Regionals in 2026, 12th-year head coach Kenny Gajewski returns with a roster that includes 12 returners and 12 newcomers. Softball America recently tabbed OSU's transfer class as the third-best in the nation.
The Cowgirls open conference play in Houston for a three-game series versus the Cougars from March 12-14. OSU has won seven of its 11 conference-opening series since Gajewski arrived in Stillwater in 2016.
The Big 12 home slate opens with a three-game set against Arizona State from March 19-21 in Cowgirl Stadium.
After a bye week, the Cowgirls head to Orlando for a three-game series at UCF from April 2-4.
Following are two consecutive home stands for the Pokes, beginning with Iowa State from April 9-11 and continuing with Baylor from April 16-18. Oklahoma State went a combined 5-1 against the two in 2026.
Next up is a three-game set at Kansas from April 23-25. OSU has won 10 consecutive series against the Jayhawks, dating back to 2016.
The Cowgirls return to Stillwater for the final time in conference play from April 30-May 2, with a visit from a Texas Tech program that has ascended to new heights in recent years. The series will be the Red Raiders' first at Cowgirl Stadium since 2024, when Oklahoma State swept them by a combined 30-7 score across three games.
A three-game series at BYU from May 6-8 rounds out regular-season league play for the Cowgirls. The conference's eight best teams advance to the Big 12 Tournament, again set for May 13-15 at Devon Park in Oklahoma City.
