Cowgirls Rack Up All-Conference Honors

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team collected several honors with the announcement of the Phillips 66 All-Big 12 Women's Basketball Awards on Tuesday by the league office.
The awards were voted on by the conference's head coaches, who could not vote for their own players.
Leading the way for OSU was sophomore Stailee Heard, who was named a first-team all-league selection. A native of Sapulpa, Okla., the distinction adds to a list of honors this season that includes being named to the USBWA Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Year Midseason Watch List, earning Big 12 Player of the Week honors on Dec. 9 as well as being named a USBWA National Player of the Week on Jan. 14.
For the year, Heard has played in all 29 of the team's games, making 28 starts. She currently checks in as the squad's leading scorer at 15.8 points per game, which ranks 11th among Big 12 players. She is also the team's leading rebounder at 7.8 boards per game, good for fourth in the league. Heard is 10th among league players in field-goal percentage (.485), ninth with her 1.83 steals per outing.
Additionally, her nine double-doubles are the fifth-best total in the league.
Joining Heard on the all-conference team were senior Anna Gret Asi and junior Micah Gray, who earned third-team and honorable mention honors, respectively.
Asi checks in as the squad's second-leading scorer at 11.8 points per game. The Tartu, Estonia native has played in 28 games on the year and made 27 starts for the 21st-ranked Cowgirls. Asi is averaging 2.25 made 3-pointers per game, which ranks 12th in the league. She also ranks 12th in the Big 12 in assist-turnover ratio at 1.60.
On Feb. 11, Asi was named a USBWA National Player of the Week.
In her first season in Stillwater, Gray is the squad's second-leading scorer at 14.1 points per contest. The Oklahoma City native has started all 29 of the squad's games on the year and checks in at No. 18 among the league's leading scorers. Gray is fifth in the league in 3-point field goal percentage (.341) and third in 3-pointers made per game at 2.62.
Jadyn Wooten was named to the league's five-player all-freshman team. A native of Overland Park, Kansas, she has played in 27 games on the year, averaging 6.8 points and 3.4 assists per contest. Wooten earned Big 12 Freshman of the Week honors on Dec. 2 and was named to the Daytona Beach Classic All-Tournament Team in November.
