STILLWATER – Nolan Schubart made history and Ian Daugherty homered twice, but Oklahoma State fell to Oral Roberts, 10-6, Tuesday night at O'Brate Stadium.

With the loss, the Cowboys are now 15-15, while ORU improved to 18-12.

Daugherty, Schubart and Thompson each had two hits for the Pokes, while Brayden Smith extended his hitting streak to 17 games.

Drew Blake made his first start of the season for the Cowboys and took the loss to fall to 1-2. The southpaw worked two innings, striking out three and allowing two runs.

ORU took an early lead in the first inning, taking advantage of four hits and an error to go up 2-0.

Stormy Rhodes came in to start the third inning and struck out a pair in a clean frame.

The Cowboys got on the scoreboard in the third inning, with Thompson knocking a leadoff single and Smith bringing him home with an RBI single.

The Golden Eagles tacked on three runs in the fourth inning to extend their lead to 5-1, but OSU answered in the bottom of the frame, notching two runs on Thompson's second hit of the day, this one a double to deep right field.

In the bottom of the fifth, Schubart hit his team-leading eighth home run of the season to make it a 5-4 game. It was Schubart's 48^th career home run as a Cowboy, moving him into the top 10 in program history.

ORU added another run in the sixth inning, but further damage was prevented when Jayson Jones made a backhanded stop with the bases loaded to end the inning.

Noah Wech worked 1 2/3 scoreless innings between the sixth and seventh frames, striking out a pair of Golden Eagles.

In the bottom of the seventh, Daugherty cleared the left-field wall for his fourth home run of the season to once again make it a one-run game.

But Oral Roberts rallied for four runs on five hits in the eighth to extend their advantage to 10-5, and the Cowboys managed just one more run, that coming on Daugherty's second homer of the night with two outs in the ninth inning.

Up next for OSU is a trip to Tucson, Ariz., for a weekend series against Arizona. Friday's game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. (CDT) first pitch.
