STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Soccer dropped a 3-0 match to 12th-ranked Texas Tech Thursday night at Neal Patterson Stadium.
With the loss, the Cowgirls fell to 5-5-3 overall and 1-3-1 in Big 12 play, while TTU improved to 7-0-5 and remained atop the conference standings at 4-0-1.
The Red Raiders outshot OSU by a 17-11 margin, with both teams recording four corner kicks. Avery Bass recorded a pair of saves for the Cowgirls, who put three shots on frame that were saved by Addie Todd.
All three of the goals came in the first 18 minutes of the game.
The first was just 2:36 into the contest as Kylie Bahr delivered a pass to the top of the box that Raleigh Greason snuck inside the right post.
Just over five minutes later, Eleanor Hays made it 2-0. After Taylor Zdrojewski's initial header was saved by Bass, Hays was there to head in the rebound.
The final score came in the 18th minute on a long range shot from Zdrojewski that marked her eighth goal of the season.
OSU outshot the visitors 8-7 in the second half, including getting a penalty shot, but could not find the back of the net.
The Cowgirls return to action Sunday at UCF, with kickoff set for 11:30 a.m. (CDT).
