STILLWATER – Oklahoma State women's basketball's Audi Crooks and Liv McGill were both named to the 15-player 2026-27 Wade Watch List, it was announced today.
OSU is the only team in the country with multiple players on the list, and Crooks and McGill are the first Cowgirl teammates to be named to the preseason watch list in program history.
The Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year, Crooks has been named to the Wade Watch List in each of the past three seasons and is coming off a season in which she finished second in the nation in scoring (25.8 ppg) and field goal percentage (64.9%). The three-time AP All-American has recorded at least 800 points and 200 rebounds in both those seasons, while the rest of DI has combined for one such season in that span.
McGill was the only player in the nation to average at least 20 points (22.5), six assists (6.3) and six rebounds (6.1) a year ago. The Big 12 Preseason Newcomer of the Year is one of four DI players who accumulated at least 1,000 career points, 300 rebounds, 200 assists, and 100 steals as an underclassman over the past two seasons.
The pair made their OSU debuts in the Cowgirls' 81-39 rout of Southern on Monday night, with Crooks leading the Pokes with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting, and McGill finishing with seven points and 10 rebounds. The 6-3 senior center added seven boards, making her just the fourth Big 12 player this century with at least 20 points and seven rebounds while shooting 90% from the field.
The Wade Trophy, now in its 50th year, is the oldest and most prestigious national player of the year award in women's college basketball. The WBCA NCAA Division I Awards Committee will review the list midseason to determine if additional players will be added based on their play during the first half of the 2026-27 season. The winner of the award will be announced in April during the 2027 WBCA Convention in Columbus, Ohio — site of the 2027 NCAA Women's Final Four.
The dynamic duo were also both named to the Naismith Trophy and their respective Naismith Starting Five position award watch lists.
