February 27, 2026 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – A two-hit shutout from RyLee Crandall fueled an 8-0 run-rule victory in five innings for the Oklahoma State softball team over Southeast Missouri in game one of a doubleheader at Cowgirl Stadium Friday.
The Cowgirls improved to 13-4 with the win and extended their winning streak to seven games. The Redhawks fell to 3-11.
With five shutout innings, Crandall (6-0) extended her scoreless innings streak to 11.0, spanning her last three outings. She allowed a first-inning single to Kamden Hutton, then took control of the game by retiring seven of the next eight batters, with the lone exception reaching base because of an error. Crandall slammed the door shut by striking out five of SEMO's final six batters. The one batter who didn't strike out was Aubrie Shore, who was retired on a ground out to Crandall. Maddie Carney (1-5) took the loss for SEMO.
OSU opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the first inning, thanks to a run-scoring ground out from Claire Timm and an RBI single from Karli Godwin. The Cowgirls blew things open by scoring five runs in the third inning. Included in the onslaught were a two-run triple from Gabby Castillo and a two-run single by Audrey Schneidmiller.
Eight different Cowgirls recorded at least one hit in the game, with Rosie Davis going 2-for-2. Schneidmiller drove in three runs, with Castillo and Jayelle Austin both logging a triple.
Game two of the doubleheader starts at 5:15 p.m. CT.
