Cowboy Baseball’s Lund Named Big 12’s Best

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State southpaw Ethan Lund is the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week for week three following his dominating win over Sam Houston last weekend.

Lund tossed six shutout innings and racked up a career-high 14 strikeouts in OSU's series-clinching win to lead the Cowboys to their sixth consecutive win.

A sophomore from Fishers, Indiana, Lund allowed just three hits and did not issue a walk. His strikeout total was two shy of the OSU single-game record and the most by a Cowboy since 2024.

After allowing a leadoff single to open the game, Lund struck out nine consecutive batters; through four innings, he'd tallied 11 strikeouts.

With the performance, Lund improved to 2-0 and lowered his team-leading ERA to 1.23. He has 28 strikeouts on the season, which leads the Big 12 and ranks sixth nationally.

Lund is the second Cowboy to earn a Big 12 weekly award this season; Aidan Meola was named the Big 12 Player of the Week on Feb. 23.
