Final Results
CARROLLTON, Texas – Oklahoma State's men's golf team rolled to its third victory of the season on Tuesday at the Maridoe Collegiate, finishing 18 shots clear of the field at Maridoe Golf Club.
For the Cowboys, it was their second win in three starts after winning the Cabo Collegiate earlier this month. OSU's margin of victory was its largest since a 24-shot triumph last spring at the Mountaineer Invitational.
Individually, juniors Preston Stout and Ethan Fang shared medalist honors after finishing as the only two players in the field under par. The duo posted matching 1-under totals of 215 to become the first Cowboy tandem to finish as co-medalists since Viktor Hovland and Matthew Wolff did so at the 2018 Royal Oaks Intercollegiate.
For Fang, it was his second victory of the year after winning The Carmel Cup to open the fall slate. The first-team All-American closed with a 75 during his third round to get to his 215 tally.
Stout's win marked his second of the year and the fifth of his career. The first-team All-American posted a 73 during his closing round en route to his 1-under total.
Junior Eric Lee joined Fang and Stout in the top five, tying for fourth place at 217 after signing for a 74 on Tuesday.
OSU's aforementioned win in West Virginia was the last time three Cowboys had finished in the top five at an event with Lee finishing first and Fang and junior Gaven Lane sharing third that week.
Lane posted a closing 77 to finish at 228 and alone in 24th place.
Collin Bond's 80 tied him for 29th place at 231. The redshirt freshman competed individually.
Bond was joined at 231 by sophomore Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson, who closed with a 77.
