The loss snapped the Cowboys' four-game winning streak as they fell to 28-17, while ORU improved to 26-17.
The Pokes tallied a pair of home runs in the contest, giving them 100 for the season, the second most in NCAA Division I in 2026. It's the 13th time in program history and the third time in the last four years OSU has reached the century mark.
Aidan Meola and Garrett Shull both went deep for the Cowboys, while Terrance Bowen collected a career-high three hits.
In his first collegiate start, Zane Burns took the loss to fall to 2-1. The right-hander worked 4 1/3 innings and allowed eight runs on six hits while striking out three.
The Golden Eagles took the game's initial lead in the second on a solo home run to right field by Cooper Kelly and extended their advantage with another long ball in the fourth, this one a two-run shot off the bat of Cooper Combs to make the score 3-0.
ORU increased its lead again in the fifth, rallying for six runs on four hits. The Golden Eagles also took advantage of two walks and a hit by pitch that all came with the bases loaded as they took a 9-0 advantage.
The Cowboys got on the board in the sixth when Meola smacked his 12th home run of the season, a solo shot to left field. They plated their second run of the inning when Colin Brueggemann delivered an RBI single to score Campbell Smithwick, who doubled.
And they weren't done. Shull would cut the OSU deficit to 9-5 with a three-run homer, which marked his 11th of the year and was the Cowboys' 100th of the season.
ORU got a pair of runs back in the seventh, collecting three hits in the inning to go up 11-5.
The Cowboys return to Big 12 Conference action Friday at 6 p.m. when they open a series against TCU at O'Brate Stadium.
