With the win, the 21st-ranked Cowboys improved to 34-18, while ORU fell to 30-21.
OSU mashed four home runs in the contest, bringing their season total to 128, which ranks as the fifth-highest season total in program history.
Alex Conover went deep twice, while Avery Ortiz and Kollin Ritchie also delivered round-trippers. Ritchie now has 28 homers on the season, the fifth most in a season in program history, and he became one of only 10 Cowboy to reach 50 career bombs.
Jake Kennedy earned the win in relief to improve to 3-0 as he came out of the bullpen in the fifth and worked the final 4 2/3 innings. The right-hander allowed just one run on two hits and struck out four.
The Cowboys jumped out to a quick lead as, on the fourth pitch of the game, Conover delivered his 12th home run of the year over the wall in left field.
Conover would step to the plate again in the second inning, and the result would be the same as he homered on a 2-1 count, this time sending the ball out to right field.
ORU cut the Cowboys' lead in half in the third, getting an RBI groundout from Wailele Kane Yates to make the score 2-1, before rallying for three runs on three hits in the fourth to take a 4-2 advantage.
The Pokes got a run back in the fifth, loading the bases with one out on a single and two walks before Campbell Smithwick delivered a sacrifice fly to center to make it a 4-3 contest.
However, the Golden Eagles struck again in the bottom of the inning, getting a two-run homer from Martell Davis.
Trailing 6-3 after five, the Cowboys flipped the scoreboard with a power surge in the sixth. With the bases loaded, Ortiz unloaded for his second home run of the season to give OSU the lead, and Ritchie followed a blast of his own to give the visitors a 9-6 advantage.
OSU added to its lead on an Ortiz RBI double in the seventh and went up 12-6 on a two-out, two-RBI double off the bat of Remo Indomenico in the eighth.
The Cowboys return to action Thursday night when they open a Big 12 series with Arizona at O'Brate Stadium to conclude the regular season.
