May 15, 2026 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – 16 runs on 17 hits fueled the No. 15/15 Oklahoma State Softball team to a 16-0 run-rule victory over Eastern Illinois on Friday afternoon at Cowgirl Stadium.
The win marked OSU's 16th consecutive victory at a home NCAA Regional and was OSU's largest margin of victory in a postseason game in the NCAA era.
With the win, the Cowgirls improved to 39-15 overall, while Eastern Illinois fell to 36-22 overall.
A solo home run courtesy of Karli Godwin sparked a five-run first inning for the Cowgirls. Oklahoma State loaded the bases after Rosie Davis doubled and both Lexi McDonald and Amanda Hasler drew walks. Tia Warsop walked to bring in Davis before an Eastern Illinois throwing error scored McDonald and Hasler. Aubrey Jones's RBI single scored Warsop to punctuate the five-run first.
The Oklahoma State offense continued its explosive showing with four runs in both the second and third innings, highlighted by an Amanda Hasler two-run home run in the third and a Rosie Davis single that scored another pair in the fourth.
Jayelle Austin drove in two more runs in the fourth inning to extend the Cowgirl lead to 16-0, which set a new Stillwater Regional record for most runs scored.
Three Pokes recorded three-hit performances on the afternoon. Godwin posted a 3-for-3 stat line with four runs scored and a walk. Hasler also went 3-for-3 with a walk and a home run of her own, plating three runs. Davis' 3-for-4 effort included three runs scored and an RBI.
Godwin and McDonald both notched four runs on the afternoon, becoming the first Cowgirls with four or more runs scored since Kiley Naomi had four on March 22, 20219 against Baylor.
Ruby Meylan struck out three and did not allow a hit in two innings of work. RyLee Crandall relieved Meylan prior to the third inning and tossed three scoreless innings to earn the win and improve to 7-6 on the season.
Karlie McKenzie took the loss for Eastern Illinois, falling to 13-10 on the year.
The Cowgirls return to action tomorrow at noon, when they'll face off against No. 14/17 Stanford at Cowgirl Stadium.
