STILLWATER, Okla. – Bolstered by two of the top 10 transfers in the country, Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has secured the No. 1 portal class in the country according to ESPN.
Head coach Jacie Hoyt's class is headlined by All-Americans Audi Crooks and Liv McGill, who were ranked Nos. 1 and 6 by the outlet, respectively. OSU's class took top billing over No. 2 Louisville and No. 3 Ole Miss.
In addition to ESPN, Crooks was tabbed as the top portal prospect by CBSSports.com, NBCSports.com, USA Today and Yahoo Sports. A 6-3 center, she enjoyed a decorated three-year run at Iowa State that saw her achieve All-America status and tally 2,256 points during her time in Ames.
McGill spent two seasons at Florida where she earned All-America honors this past year and was a first-team All-SEC pick after averaging 22.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest. A 5-9 guard, she was named to the SEC All-Freshman squad and capped her prep career as a McDonald's All-American.
In addition to the top-10 duo, OSU had three additional players appear in USA Today's Top 100 ranking. Crooks and McGill held the top two spots, while Ellie Brueggemann came in at No. 36, Yuting Deng was No. 80 and Nene Ndiaye rounded out the group at No. 95.
Brueggemann comes to Stillwater after spending the past three seasons at Lindenwood, where she earned all-conference recognition the past two years.
OSU added another player with Big 12 experience in Deng, who competed in 33 games last season at Baylor, averaging 6.6 points and 1.9 rebounds per contest.
Ndiaye, who averaged 14.8 points and 5.3 boards per game last season for Rutgers, saw significant time during her freshman and sophomore campaigns at Boston College as well.
Talexa Weeter capped her time at Fort Hays State as the D2CCA Ron Lenz National Player of the Year after leading NCAA Division II in scoring at 27.5 points per outing.
LA Sneed spent her freshman campaign at Utah where she was named to the All-Big 12 Freshman Team this past year. A five-star recruit, she checked in at No. 28 in the ESPN SportsCenter NEXT 100.
Zoe Canfield also joins the Cowgirls roster with a pair of Division I seasons under her belt, competing at Kansas as a freshman before playing for Missouri State last season.
