Cowgirl Basketball reveals non-conference schedule

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State women's basketball team has announced its non-conference slate for the 2026-27 season today, which features eight home games, four games against in-state competition and a premier standalone game against South Carolina.
The Cowgirls are coming off a 24-10 season in 2025-26 that culminated in OSU's first NCAA Tournament win since 2021, and the first under head coach Jacie Hoyt. Hoyt and Co. reloaded with the nation's unanimous top transfer class featuring two of the highest-rated prospects in the portal in Audi Crooks (Iowa State) and Liv McGill (Florida).
Oklahoma State and South Carolina will meet for the first time in the program's history on Dec. 6 in Columbia, S.C. The Gamecocks have finished the past two seasons as the national runners-up and have won three national championships under head coach Dawn Staley. The Cowgirls and Gamecocks will meet once again in 2027-28 at a neutral site in Oklahoma, with the location to be determined.
An exhibition matchup at home against Langston on Oct. 27, the first of four in-state contests, precedes the season opener against Southern University on Nov. 2.
Following a pair of home games against Morgan State (Nov. 6) and Northwestern State (Nov. 9), OSU travels to Tulsa on Nov. 12 for its first road contest of the season. From there, the Cowgirls head to Brookings, S.D., for the first time in school history for a matchup against South Dakota State on Nov. 15.
The Pokes return to Stillwater for two games in three days before heading to Kansas City, Mo., for a neutral site contest against Wichita State on Nov. 22 inside the T-Mobile Center. Hoyt played for Wichita State from 2006-09, where she was a team captain and started every game at point guard in her last two seasons.
OSU will spend its Thanksgiving break in Fort Myers, Fla., for the Coconut Hoops Tournament from Nov. 27-29, where the Cowgirls will face two teams set to be announced.
The Cowgirls round out their in-state competition with a home contest against Oral Roberts on Dec. 1 before renewing the Bedlam series with Oklahoma on Dec. 12 inside the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
OSU concludes its non-conference schedule by hosting North Texas inside GIA on Dec. 14.
