Gokpinar takes home second UTR title in past fifteen days

TULSA, Okla. — Oklahoma State men's tennis sophomore Haydar Gokpinar won his second tournament in as many weeks, this time capturing the UTR Shootout – Tulsa singles title on Monday morning.
Gokpinar, who also won the UTR Shootout – Stillwater back on Aug. 30 -- has a perfect 9-0 record this fall.
The sophomore from Turkey survived third-set tiebreakers with Tulsa teammates Nikita Volonski and Alex Santino Nuñez Vera in the semifinal and final rounds respectively.
All five Cowboys who took part in the three-day event reached the Round of 16 with Gokpinar joined by Thomas Gadecki, Ilan Hediger, Nicolas Kobelt and Ben Stecker.
