Cowboy Football’s Keltner named Lou Groza Star of the Week

STILLWATER – After helping lead the Oklahoma State football team to a historic upset over No. 6 Oregon last weekend, Cowboy kicker Sam Keltner earned Lou Groza Star of the Week honors on Tuesday.
The award marks Keltner's second national recognition of the week, as he was also announced as the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday.
Keltner went 4-for-4 on field goal attempts, a career best. He became the first Cowboy kicker to make four or more field goals in a game since Alex Hale did so against No. 23 Kansas in 2023.
The redshirt sophomore accounted for 15 of the Cowboys' 39 points, also a career high. Three of his field goals came in the second half, including a season-long 44-yarder. He punctuated the afternoon with a game-sealing 31-yard field goal in the fourth quarter, giving OSU an eight-point lead with three minutes left to play.
