Cowboys in the NFL: Week One

STILLWATER – The 2026-27 NFL regular season kicked off this past weekend, with multiple former Cowboys seeing action.
2019 Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year Chuba Hubbard started his season with a two-touchdown performance against the Chicago Bears. Hubbard scored the first touchdown of the game on a 4-yard reception from Bryce Young. His second touchdown came in the third quarter on a 2-yard rush. He finished the game with 10 carries for 49 yards and three receptions for 38 yards in the Panthers' 59-37 loss. Carolina will play the Atlanta Falcons at noon Sunday.
Former Cowboy running back Jaylen Warren helped the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 20-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Warren had 10 carries for 46 yards and five receptions for 27 yards in the victory. Pittsburgh will play the New England Patriots on Sunday at noon.
Justice Hill opened his eighth NFL season with the Baltimore Ravens in a 41-23 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Hill carried the ball six times for 18 yards and added one reception for 10 yards.
Tylan Wallace made his Cleveland Browns debut against the Jacksonville Jaguars, while fellow Cowboy Teven Jenkins did not play due to injury.
Three former Cowboys saw action in the Detroit Lions' 31-30 overtime win over the New Orleans Saints. Linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez recorded four tackles, including two solo tackles. Defensive lineman Tyler Lacy added one tackle, while wide receiver Tay Martin recorded three special teams tackles.
Miami Dolphins running back Ollie Gordon II did not record a touch in the Dolphins' 27-13 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Former Cowboy cornerback A.J. Green III also opened the season with Miami, while quarterback Mason Rudolph entered his fifth NFL season with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
San Francisco 49ers linebacker Nick Martin was placed on injured reserve before the 49ers' season opener against the Los Angeles Rams and did not play in San Francisco's 30-27 victory.
The former Cowboys will look to build on their Week 1 performances as the NFL enters its second week of the regular season.
