ITA All-American Championships highlight busy Cowboy Tennis week

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State men's tennis will split its roster this weekend, with six Cowboys headed to Tulsa for the ITA All-American Championships and three others competing at the UTR PTT Norfolk in Virginia.
Ian Bracks, Thomas Gadecki, Haydar Gokpinar, Nicolas Kobelt, Hank Trondson and Sydney Zick will all begin singles play Saturday in the pre-qualifying draw at the Michael D. Case Tennis Complex. Three wins over two days would advance them to Monday's qualifying round.
In doubles, Bracks and Gokpinar will begin in the pre-qualifying draw. Kobelt and Zick, along with Gadecki and Trondson, have earned spots directly into Monday's qualifying round.
A staple of the fall college tennis calendar for more than 40 years, the ITA All-American Championships feature many of the nation's top players competing for automatic bids to November's NCAA Individual Championships. The event has been held annually in Tulsa since 2006.
Ten singles players and five doubles teams will earn automatic bids to the NCAA Individual Championships.

Meanwhile, Ilan Hediger, Ben Stecker and Christopher Thies will compete at the UTR PTT Norfolk in Virginia. Action begins Monday with the first of three group-stage matches, followed later in the week by a single elimination playoff bracket.
