About Oklahoma State
• Riding a five-game unbeaten streak and fresh off a win over No. 14 TCU in its Big 12 Conference opener, OSU is 5-2-2 on the season and takes the road for just the second time this season as they travel to Texas to take on Baylor Thursday night before facing Houston Sunday.
• The Cowgirls are coming off a 4-13-2 season in 2025 and returns eight players who started at least eight games a year ago, including Preseason All-Big 12 midfielder Laudan Wilson.
• Colin Carmichael entered his 22nd season as OSU's head coach in 2026 with a career record of

Scouting The Opponents
• Ninth-ranked Baylor is 7-1-1 and opened Big 12 play with a 1-1 tie at West Virginia.
• Michelle Lenard is in her fifth season as the Bears' head coach and owns a 35-31-14 record.
• OSU is 14-15-4 all time against Baylor. Last season, the Bears were 2-0 winners in Stillwater.
• Houston won 3-0 at Kansas State in its Big 12 opener and is 5-1-3 on the season.
• Ben Williams, who served as a volunteer assistant coach at OSU from 2015-17, is in his second season as the Cougars' head coach and owns a 7-4-7 record.
• OSU won both its previous matches against UH; the two teams met in Stillwater in 1998 and 2024.

Squashed The Frogs
OSU's win over 14th-ranked TCU marked its first victory over a ranked opponent since the Cowgirls won at No. 6 Nebraska to open the 2024 season. It snapped a seven-game losing streak against the Horned Frogs and was OSU's first triumph over TCU since 2017.
After going winless in Big 12 play last season, the victory was also the Cowgirls' first in conference play since Oct. 20, 2024, when they won at UCF. After scoring just five goals in 11 league games last season, OSU tallied three in the win over TCU.

Sharing Is Caring
Emmy Hedden has moved to a new position as a sophomore, and she's making the adjustment from midfielder to wide back nicely.
Hedden has recorded a team-high four assists, which is tied for fourth most in the Big 12. She added her first goal of the season in the win over No. 14 TCU and was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for her performance against the Frogs.

Better In America's Brightest
Keaton Mitchell had a career day in leading the Cowgirls to their first win of the season over SFA.
A transfer from Tennessee, Mitchell had two career goals in 49 games for the Vols. In her second game at OSU, the senior midfielder came off the bench and netted a pair of goals, one in each half, to lead the Cowgirls to the victory over SFA.
Mitchell added a goal and an assist against Southeast Missouri State and had the game-winning goal against No. 14 TCU. Her four goals is tied for the team lead, and she ranks second with nine points.

Sonora Sends It In
Sonora DeFini set scoring records during her high school career in Nebraska, and she has continued to rack up goals at the collegiate level.
DeFini is tied for the team lead with four goals this season, which comes on the heels of her freshman campaign of a year ago when she ranked second on the Cowgirls with four goals. She also had a pair of assists last season and was second on the squad with 10 points.
Through nine games in 2026, DeFini leads the team with 10 points on four goals and a pair of assists.

Holding It Down
Avery Bass made her first start in an OSU uniform against San Diego State, and the fifth-year senior has secured her spot between the pipes.
OSU is 3-0-1 with Bass as a starter, and she racked up a season-high seven saves to help lead the Cowgirls to an upset of 14th-ranked TCU on Sept. 17; she earned Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the performance.
Bass transferred to Stillwater for her final collegiate season after four seasons at Division II Central Oklahoma, where she was an all-region performer who posted 22 shutouts and recorded over 200 saves.
