Oklahoma State Cross Country set to host 88th annual Cowboy Jamboree

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men's and women's cross country kick off regular season action as they host the 88th annual Cowboy Jamboree at the state-of-the-art Greiner Family Cross Country Course Saturday morning.
Similar to last year's Jamboree, the 2026 edition features some of the top teams in the country. On the men's side, No. 1 Oklahoma State, No. 2 New Mexico, No. 5 Oregon and No. 21 Tulsa are all set to toe the line with No. 2 New Mexico, No. 3 BYU and No. 15 Oklahoma State doing so on the women's side.
The Cowboys enter the 2026 season ranked No. 1 in the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll for the fourth time in program history after securing the program's sixth NCAA title in dominating fashion. The OSU men return three of five scoring runners from the NCAA Championships, including respective three-time defending Big 12 and NCAA Midwest Regional Champions Brian Musau and Denis Kipngetch.
The OSU men own 28 Jamboree victories all-time, including 12 of the past 14 editions. Additionally, five different Cowboy have won each of the past five Jamboree meets with Isai Rodriguez in 2021, Alex Maier in 2022, Denis Kipngetich, Brian Musau in 2024 and Kipngetich again in 2025.
Meanwhile, the Cowgirls sit No. 15 in the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll and are looking to improve upon their 12th-place finish at the NCAA Championships last season. 2023 All-American Billah Jepkirui and 2025 NCAA Midwest Region runner-up Maureen Rutoh will lead the charge for the Cowgirls heading into the 2026 season.
In the past five seasons, OSU has swept the individual victories four times, with Rodriguez and Taylor Roe doing so in 2021, Maier and Natalie Cook in 2022, Kipngetich and Billah Jepkirui in 2023 and Kipngetich and Isca Chelangat in 2025.
The individual races are shaping up to be some of the best this season in the NCAA, with No. 2 Brian Musau, No. 3 Denis Kipngetich and No. 13 Adisu Guadie of Oklahoma State taking on New Mexico's highly-ranked trio of No. 9 Collins Kiprotich, No. 16 Evans Kiplagat and No. 21 Vincent Chirchir. In the women's race, No. 2 Jane Hedengren of BYU faces off with New Mexico's duo of No. 3 Pamela Kosgei and No. 4 Marion Jepngetich.
The women's 6K will kick things off at 8:15 a.m. CT, with the men's 8K immediately following at 8:50 a.m. CT. The high school large school boy's 5K will take place at 9:30 a.m., followed by the large school girl's 5K at 10:15, small school boy's 5K at 11:00 and the small school girl's 5K at 11:45. Parking for the meet will take place at O'Brate Stadium, with shuttles to the course every 20 minutes starting at 7:15 a.m., with admission being free for attendance.
