I would like to send my prayers and condolences to the entire Oklahoma State family. I cannot begin to explain what ya'll are going through. Coming from Texas A&M, I know what it is like to lose loved ones. Losing these people is a great loss to your university, as well as ours. The Big XII has lost some great people. I have great confidence that everyone at Oklahoma State will pull through in this great tragedy, just as we did in our hour of dispair. I would just like to say that people at Texas A&M are thinking and praying for ya'll.

Our prayers are with everyone associated with the victims in this crash. Just yesterday we (NC State) were consumed with today's game against our biggest rival, UNC. Suddenly, that doesn't seem all that important...

My deepest and sincerest sympathy to all the families involved in this tragic accident. I did not know anyone aboard the aircraft, however, as a broadcaster and a sports fan the loss your feeling rings true to me. May our Faith in God help allow us to move on with our lives while never forgetting the souls lost to us today. The Good Lord has called them home to eternal life. May they rest in peace. God Bless those fine men on the aircraft.
Sincerely,

I played Nate in tennis throughout juniors. I injured my knee and quit playing competitive tennis, but I still remembered Nate. He was a class act and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. It is a shame that such a tragedy had to happen.

As a student at another Big XII university, my thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the 10 individuals lost in this awful tragedy. It doesn't matter what any of the teams do the rest of the season. I don't care if my team wins the conference anymore or even makes it to the tournament. It's irrelevant now. 10 souls are lost, and I, like the rest of the Big XII and the nation are mourning. God grant these individuals peace and help their families in their time of loss

I post not as a Sooner fan in this time of grieving for those associated with the Oklahoma State University basketball program, but as a fellow human being who wishes to assure OSU fans that you are not alone in your time of sorrow. Unfortunately, the State of Oklahoma has been hit with too many tragedies in the past six years. But if there is one thing Oklahomans do very well, it's pull together, regardless of differences. The Bedlam battles on the court between OU and OSU can get heated at times, but off the court, we are all the same. And we pull together in tragic times to support you because we know that if tragedy were to strike the Sooner family, you would do the same for us. To the families of the victims, may God be with you to guide you through this terrible tragedy. Your loved ones are in his care. God bless everyone.

Upon hearing about this accident, I would like to send my prayers to the familes of the lost love ones and all the students at your university. As a student at Missouri, there is nothing better then going to watch some good college basketball. These athletes pour thier hearts and souls into what they do and for thier lives to be cut so short is just not fair. I would like to send my condolences to the Oklahoma State family.

I had the fortunate opportunity to work for the OSU Athletic Department as an Equipmnet Manager for the football team from 1991-1994. I had to many good times to count with all the people I met in the athletic departmnet. The experience was one which had a positive and noticible impact on my life, as I am sure it did on the victims of this tragedy.
I first met Bill Teegins when he was in Tulsa as the sports director for KOTV and I was a bat-boy for the Double A Tulsa Drillers, farm team to the Texas Rangers.Bill was always friendly and gave me time as he tried to answer my juvenile questions. He will be greatly missed, along with all the other victims, by the many whose lives he touched and probaly never knew it. Thank you

I am a basketball player at St. Gregory's University, and I had one of the best experiences of my life playing against OSU this year. Learning of this tragic accident makes me realize how prescious life really is and how easily it can be lost. Oklahoma State lost some very fine members of it's family and I send out my condolences. I believe I speak out for my teamates of St. Gregory's and our head coach and ex OSU player Bryndon Manzer when I send our thoughts and prayers to the families of those lost and the OSU community.

My family is deeply saddened with the tragic death of those who were not only a part of the OSU Basketball team but indeed wonderful people. Even though everyone may not know these individuals personally we all care for them immensely due to our relationships through Oklahoma State University. We all enjoyed watching Daniel and Nate getting to play for the Pokes. All of the things that the media, operations and trainers do to allow our basketball team to be able travel and play. The enjoyment that we all got from the play by play announcing from Mr. Bill Teegins will be irreplaceable. It is going to be really tough to not be able to hear him calling a game because he really loved the Cowboys and put every bit of his heart into every game. All our prayers go out to the families of the victims, the basketball team, and the OSU family in the mourning of our loss. I pray that all of those involved knew Jesus Christ as their saviour and are now spending time with ! him in heaven.
WE are all praying for you.
God Bless.

Father, I pray that he is with you now, and I ask that you please ease the pain of his family and the families of all the others who were lost. Nothing can help ease the pain caused by the tragic deaths of the eight victims today, but I would just like the family and friends of these victims to know that my thoughts and prayers are with them at this sad time. Many lives will never be the same due to today's tragedy, but I encourge everyone to draw comfort by remembering all the joy that was shared while these eight wonderful men were here with us. They will not be forgotten.

I was at the game this afternoon, and I don't know why I am writing this or who will read it. Maybe it just makes me feel better to send it. It is such a sad thought for me to know that these people who were involved in something that they must ahve loved dearly were taken from us prematurly. I suppose these sorts of things will happen if day to day life is to continue, but I simply cannot believe that these people whom I saw alive and well this afternoon are now gone. I cannot begine to imagine the great pain that all who had a personal connection with anyone on the flight tonight must feel, but my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I hope that somehow, none of these people will be forgotten, and that anyone who knew them will always remember their contributions. God bless the vicims, everyone shaken by this tragedy at OSU, and all who knew them.

OSU STUDENT
Let me first start by sayin that my prayers go out to everyone the coaches, friends and especially family..I know what it is like to lose loved ones and to be part of a college where a tragedy had occurred because I was at NEO last year whenever three of my friends were killed in an auto accident and they were also involved in athletics so I somewhat know what everyone is thinking and going through right now.
Time will be the only thing that can heal the loss that everyone has felt on Saturday Jan. 26th, 2001 this is not going to be easy but together all of us can help each other and pray for everyone that we all get through this. God does things in mysterious ways and sometimes people stop and ask themselves why does this happen or why me? Well no one has the answers to those questions I wish we all knew why this happened but no one did and no one ever will know but one thing is for sure that this fine adults and young adults are in a better place now and that some day whenever the rest of our times come we will get to see them and be with them again.
I have a little story to add about the people I knew:
Nate Fleming:
What a guy, he never thought that because he was an athlete that he should be treated better or deserve more frome anyone. If you ever seen him you would think that he was just a regular ol' guy like the rest of us not no D1 athlete or super tennis player. I have some fond memories to share if you dont mind. Every time I saw NATE he would be wearin those hats everyone knows which ones I am talkin about. The ones that looked like he just came off the farm or was given to him as hand downs from some one else. But that was just NATE and his style no one could cramp his Style because he was one of a kind. I remember bein at the Texas A&M game and the crowd chantin NATE, NATE, NATE, and I thought to myself man what it would be like to have 12,000 people chantin your name as like in the movie RUDY thats what this reminded me of. He never complained in practice about anything he just loved the game and playin for Coach Sutton and learning everything possible he could fromt he man he idolized his whole life. I remember seein Nate and schlotzkis deli last tuesday and we passed each other in the deli and we just like always said whats up? like he would anyone that he saw. Not only was he an athlete he was the true meaning of the word student athlete and people may say well he was not a great athlete but he didnt have to be becasue he was a great person to know while he was with us and he brought joy to everyone that knew him.
May god bless the Fleming family and let me tell you Nate was one hell of a guy...
Dan Lawson
Did anyone really know him? The reason I say this is because Dan "the man" was quite whenever I was around him I really never could that he was even really around because he was one of those type that if someone else would do the talkin and stuff he would hang back and just go with the flow. I remember certain things that stand out about DAN and they are that he just wanted to succeed in everything he done in life and he always got critized from people about the way he played a certain night or a certain play he made. One thing is for sure that he you never heard him complain and never heard of any problems comin from his direction. He always played hard and gave it his best durin the game That smile that he would display during certain time in the game was just one that you could never forget. He just wanted to learn from Coach Sutton to make him a better basketball player and better person so he could succeed in life. Thank you DAN for bein a guy that could be trusted upon to represent the school and fans
God bless the Lawson family and DAN "THE MAN" LAWSON
These two young men displyed not only the meaning of quality athletes but also quality people as well and that should mean more then anything to all of us.
DAN AND NATE YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN IN MY BOOKS AND THANK YOU FOR THE MEMORIES THAT YOU BROUGHT ALL OF US.... R.I.P. #3 AND #11 WE LOVE YOU ALWAYS.................
I wish I knew the rest of the victims as much as these two but I was only able to really know these two but May God bless all of the families and we at OSU are here to help everyone through this time of tragedy. We are all part of a family here at OSU and we all need to step forward and help one another now..

I just want to express my deepest sympathy to all of the families and to the coaches and players. It is a terrible tragety for all of you. I lost my son in an accident 4 years ago this month and I know how terrible it really is. There is nothing anyone can say to make this better for any of you, but it does seem to help in some way to know that others do care. May each and everyone of you find comfort through God. You are in my families thoughts and prayers.

I never knew anybody from Oklahoma State but I had to interview some former basketball players last summer, namely the OSU guys from the OKlahoma USBL team. They all spoke fondly of their days in Stillwater with coach Sutton and it was only then that I realized what the OSU family really meant. That is certainly one of the special campuses in the world and I hope that the families of the victims will be all right

As a former broadcaster in Oklahoma, I was an aquaintance of both Bill Teegins and Kendall Durfey. It is deeply troubling to hear of this great tragedy tonight. I was privileged to work with the OSU crew in a small capacity during the OSU-SW Texas football game, and during that short time I was with both of these men, it was evident that they were men of great character and integrity. May the Lord be with their families, and may they know that we as the OSU Family share in their grief.

I just wanted to say that I'm glad this page is here, cause I've been looking for a page so I could say something. I am honestly and deeply feeling so horrible that something like this could happen. I've been an Oklahoma State fan for all my life and went to OSU for two years. I just want to send my thoughts and prayers to all the families of the victims of tonights tragedy and to say that I'm truely sorry. I never had met any of the victims but I've always been a part of the OSU family and to even still think that this has happened--it has taken a piece of my life away from me. I was playing a game online when a person who knows I live in Oklahoma asked me, "Do you know who was on board that OSU plane?" I said, "What are you talking about?" He said, "The plane that crashed?" That's how I found out about it. I don't know what to say. I can't even begin to say how saddened I am about this tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims. I am truly sorry for your loss. I can't express myself the way I want to now. I know my words probably seem hollow and meaningless and empty at a time like this...but if anything, my hearts and prayers truly go out to the families of the victims, those struck by the tragedy, and your university. I can not claim to have any relation to the players, staff, broadcaster, pilots, or the university...I have no ties to the families of the victims, or the body of OSU. The only thing I can claim to be similar is that I am human, capable of experiencing the same emotions you do, and this tragedy truly does grieve me. I will continue to pray for you all...may God bless you.

There is but two words that I can think to summarize what is happening in this small family sized Stillwater and that is HEAVY HEARTS. Although I knew none of the deceased personally, many of my friends knew them well and it almost droved me to tears to see their suffering. All I can say is that tonite in a town of a whole lot of young people, things were put in to perspective and I know that I personally did not go home tonite without telling those that I knew to be safe and that I loved them.

I have just heard of this tragic story and would like to share my prayers and concerns with the community surrounding the Cowboys. I have no affiliation with Oklahoma State whatsoever, but I feel sick and saddened by this tragedy. I am a fellow college student, and I know that this event will change the way I live my life. As I sit here, I see people around me enjoying their lives, and all I can feel is complete sadness for the players and employees affected. I will never take for granted the things I enjoy in my life, and will always appreciate all that God has given me. I feel completely heartbroken for the relatives, friends, and supporters of OSU basketball, and hope that they can find their way out of this and continue to live their lives in the way their friends would have wanted them to.

In light of this terrible tragedy, I have faith the OSU will come together in support. My thought and prayers are with the entire University. God Bless everyone. You are in my prayers tonight!
