High School: A four-year varsity player for coach Courtney Allen at John Horn … The Texas District 10-6A defensive MVP and an all-state selection as a junior … Recorded 69 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, two interceptions (both touchdowns) and two forced fumbles that year … The 16 sacks set a new single season school record … Had another productive season as a senior, tabbing 66 tackles, 34 tackles for loss and 13 sacks … Earned unanimous class 10-6A all-district first team honors twice and earned a spot on the third team in 2020-21 … Concluded his time at Horn as the program leader in sacks with 30, as well as the program leader in tackles for loss with 59 … Racked up 174 total tackles in his career with 115 as solo stops, as well as two pick-sixes, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, a safety, two blocked field goals and a blocked field goal return for a touchdown … A two-time player of the year finalist … Has excelled in the classroom as a member of the THSCA Academic All-State second team in 2023 … Also competed in shot put and discus for the track and field team and played soccer … Was a state qualifier in wrestling, placing third at the UIL 6A state championship at heavyweight … Recorded a 455-pound bench and 675-pound squat, which marked school records … ESPN ranks him as the No. 57 recruit at his position ...
