Cowgirls Roll Past Alabama State, 125-49

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team moved to 9-1 on the season with a 125-49 win over Alabama State on Friday night in front of 1,932 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
It was a record night for OSU with the Cowgirls shattering the school mark for points (125), points in a half (69), points in a quarter (36), margin of victory (76), assists (33) and 3-pointers (20).
The Cowgirls were effective in the early going from beyond the arc, drilling five of their first nine 3-pointers to take a 19-7 lead halfway through the first period. Stailee Heard knocked down her first two attempts from three to make it 10 consecutive made treys spanning back to OSU's contest against Richmond.
Heard would add her third consecutive 3-pointer of the game and at the three-minute mark to give OSU a 28-11 lead.
The Cowgirls would knock down seven of their 13 3-point attempts to take a 36-15 lead after the first 10 minutes.
OSU put up another big offensive quarter in the second, following their 36-point outburst with a 33-point showing.
Heard hit her fourth consecutive trey of the night and 12th in a row overall and Micah Gray followed with one of her own at the two-minute mark to put OSU in front, 62-24.
The Cowgirls 69 points in the half surpassed the previous best of 68 set in 1996 against Nicholls State.
Heard knocked down her 13th consecutive trey to start to start the third quarter before recording her first miss of the contest. Her run would come up one shy of matching the NCAA mark for consecutive made 3-pointers. She would knock down her sixth trey of the game and get a steal and basket to put OSU in front, 83-28, with six minutes to go in the frame.
OSU would start the half on a 17-2 run.
Stacie Jones would knock down a jumper for OSU to hit the century mark with three minutes to go in the third.
The Cowgirls would take a 104-33 lead into the fourth.
Heard opened the third with another trey, making her the fourth Cowgirl to reach the 30-point mark this season. Additionally, the trey was OSU's 20th of the night, tying the Big 12's single-game mark.
Heard finished with a career-high 32 points and 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the year, while Gray poured in 25 points.
Anna Gret Asi scored 16 points, while Macey Huard added 13 and Jones had 12.
