STILLWATER – Preseason honors continue for Oklahoma State women's basketball's Audi Crooks and Liv McGill, who were both named to the Jersey Mike Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year Watch List on Thursday.
The Big 12 Conference Preseason Player of the Year and Preseason Newcomer of the Year, respectively, Crooks and McGill also received preseason All-Big 12 honors after joining the Cowgirls this offseason as part of the No. 1 transfer class in the country.
McGill, a 5-foot-9 junior from Minneapolis, was also named to the 20-player watch list for the Nancy Lieberman Award earlier this week, which recognizes the best point guard in women's college basketball. She's coming off a season that saw her earn first-team All-SEC honors at Florida after ranking ninth nationally with 6.3 assists per game and 11th nationally with 22.5 points per game.
Crooks, a three-time AP All-American and first-team All-Big 12 performer at Iowa State, has made the Naismith Trophy Midseason Team in each of the last two seasons. She finished last year as the nation's second-leading scorer (25.8 points per game) and held the second-best field goal percentage in the country at 64.9%.
OSU is the only team in the Big 12 with multiple players on the 50-person list.
Crooks and McGill will make their OSU debut against Southern at 5 p.m. on Nov. 2 in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
