Cowgirls California Bound For March Madness

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team will make its third NCAA appearance in four seasons under the direction of head coach Jacie Hoyt, earning a spot in the NCAA Championship field with the announcement of the tournament bracket on Sunday evening.
OSU will enter NCAA play as the No. 8 seed in the Sacramento Regional 2. The Cowgirls will face ninth-seeded Princeton on Saturday. The Tigers boast a 26-3 record. The winner will advance to take on the winner of top-seeded UCLA and California Baptist. Tip time and broadcast information will be provided when available.
The Cowgirls bring a 23-9 mark into tourney play, including a 12-6 mark in league play to finish fourth in the Big 12 standings. OSU is led by a quartet of all-league performers in second-team performer Stailee Heard, third-team pick Micah Gray and honorable mention selections Achol Akot and Jadyn Wooten.
The Cowgirls are 12-18 all time in NCAA action, including three Sweet 16 appearances with the most recent of those coming in 2014. OSU will be looking for its first NCAA win since 2021 when it reached the second round.
