March 31, 2026 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Softball's Ruby Meylan has been named the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week, the conference announced today.
Meylan earned the decision in every game for OSU this past week as she tossed 18.0 innings spread across four appearances and maintained a 0.78 ERA with 16 strikeouts. After picking up the win in relief on Wednesday against Tulsa, the two-time NFCA All-American limited a Utah offense that entered the series averaging 7.15 runs per game (7.83 in Big 12 contests) to just one run in 13.0 IP on the weekend.
The senior righty led the nation in wins and led the Big 12 in innings pitched this week while ranking second in the conference in ERA and strikeouts. Meylan totaled 11 wins in March, a mark that led the country.
The Omaha, Neb., native improved to 15-6 on the season with a 2.29 ERA and 136 strikeouts in 134.2 innings of work.
This is Meylan's sixth Big 12 weekly award of her OSU career, which is tied with Carrie Eberle for the most in program history. No other pitcher in the conference has more than four in Meylan's two seasons at OSU.
Meylan and the Cowgirls have a bye week this week and will return to action at Wichita State on April 8, where they'll pick up the March 10th game that was suspended in the seventh inning before playing the regularly scheduled game for that day.
