Preston Stout Named To Haskins Watch List

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Oklahoma State's Preston Stout was one of 20 players named to the Haskins Award Watch List as announced today by the Haskins Foundation.

Founded in 1971 by the Haskins Commission, the coveted trophy honors the year's outstanding college golfer and is voted upon by college golfers, coaches and members of the media.

A native of Richardson, Texas, Stout currently ranks fifth in the Scoreboard national rankings. Most recently, he repeated as medalist at the Cabo Collegiate where he led OSU to its second win of the year. The junior fired rounds of 67, 63 and 68 for a 15-under total of 198 to come in seven shots clear of the field.

Stout also finished seventh at the Gators Invitational earlier this spring.

Last fall, he tied for 10^th place at The Clerico and had a 12^th-place finish in the opener at Carmel Cup.

In 18 rounds this year, Stout has broken 70 nine times and has finished under par in four of his six starts on the year.
