Cowgirls set for a pair of Top 25 clashes

The Basics
Coming off its third straight Big 12 series win, the No. 21/21 Oklahoma State softball team (27-11 overall, 9-6 Big 12) opens a stretch of five ranked contests with a midweek game against No. 1/1 Oklahoma (40-4 overall, 13-2 SEC) and a Big 12 weekend series against No. 16/16 Arizona.
Bedlam softball returns on April 15 at 8 p.m. CT inside Devon Park in Oklahoma City. Friday's series opener against the Wildcats is set for 6 p.m. CT, with Saturday's contest at 2 p.m. CT. Sunday's series finale has an 11 a.m. first pitch.

Wednesday's edition of Bedlam softball will be televised on ESPN2, as will game two (Saturday) against Arizona. Friday and Sunday's contests can be streamed on ESPN+.

Cowgirls vs. Shockers Update
OSU and Wichita State's contest scheduled for April 8 was postponed. The Cowgirls and Shockers were set to resume their suspended game from March 10 before resetting for the regularly scheduled contest. When a new game date and time are set, those details will be shared.

Oklahoma State is ranked No. 11 in the GoRout/NFCA Coaches Poll. The ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 ranks the Cowgirls at No. 21, while Softball America has the Pokes at No. 22 and D1Softball has OSU at No. 19. In the Ratings Percentage Index (RPI), the Cowgirls are No. 21.
Oklahoma checks in at No. 1/1 in the national rankings, while Arizona is No. XX/XX
The Cowgirls were picked to finish second in the Big 12 Conference with one first-place vote in a poll by the league's head coaches.
Oklahoma State from a Distance
A winner in 10 of its last 12 games and in each of its last three Big 12 series, Oklahoma State is playing some of its best softball of the season as it enters a challenging portion of the schedule.
The Cowgirls hold seven wins over ranked opponents and 10 run-rule wins on the season. OSU averages 6.6 runs per game, which would set a new program record if the season ended today.
Two-time All-American Ruby Meylan has won each of her last 10 decisions. She ranks in the top 10 among all active players in career pitching appearances (146), innings pitched (648.0) and strikeouts (717) and is piecing together another All-America-level season. She leads the Big 12 in innings pitched (148.2) and wins (17) while ranking third in strikeouts (148).
Veterans Claire Timm, Rosie Davis and Amanda Hasler have been playing at an All-Big 12 level, with Timm ranking among the top 15 in the conference in batting average (.389) and on-base percentage (.487), and the latter two combining for 36 extra-base hits and 78 RBI. Freshmen Jayelle Austin, Gabby Castillo and Aubrey Jones have all made immediate impacts, with Austin pacing the team in walks and Castillo and Jones ranking among team leaders in batting average. Â
Pitchers RyLee Crandall and Preslee Downing have combined to go 10-4.
