Cowgirls Add Versatile Veteran To Roster

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has added depth and experience to its backcourt with the signing of veteran guard Nene Ndiaye it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Jacie Hoyt.
"Nene is a huge piece to our puzzle of assembling an elite roster. She is what I would describe as a Swiss Army Knife. She brings a little bit of everything to the table with her game," Hoyt said. She can shoot, drive, post up, rebound, defend and is a tremendous athlete with great length."
"Nene is hungry to win and sees the vision for where we want to take our program and I am so excited to add her to our roster!"
The 6-1 guard spent last season at Rutgers where she saw action in 26 games, making 25 starts. Ndiaye led the Scarlet Knights with her 14.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest. Additionally, she shot a team-best 41.6 percent from beyond the 3-point arc and led the squad with 37 steals.
For the year, she had 22 double-digit scoring outings and logged a pair of double-doubles as well.
A native of Saly, Senegal, Ndiaye spent her freshman and sophomore campaigns at Boston College.
As a sophomore, she appeared in 30 games and made 10 starts, averaging 4.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest.
Her freshman season saw Ndiaye play in 30 games and make one start. An Academic All-ACC pick, her best performance of the season came against No. 16 Louisville with a 10-point, five-rebound outing.
In 2020, Ndiaye competed for the Senegal U18 National Team in the FIBA Afrobasket tournament. She averaged 4.5 points and 3.3 rebounds while helping her squad to a third-place finish.
