With the win, OSU improved to 28-16 overall and 11-10 in Big 12 play, while TTU fell to 22-22 and 6-15 in the league.
Alex Conover continued his scorching hitting, going 4-for-6 with two doubles and a homer, while Garrett Shull, Sebastian Norman and Colin Brueggemann also homered for the Pokes.
Phillips turned in a dominating performance to improve to 3-2. In his fourth start of the season, the southpaw tossed a career-high 8 1/3 innings and struck out six while allowing just two runs on seven hits.
Phillips' previous career high for innings pitched was six against Texas Tech in the 2023 Big 12 Championship, and he had not pitched more than 4 2/3 innings in a game this season, that coming in his outing last week against Kansas.
OSU took a lead just six pitches into the game when Conover delivered a leadoff home run over the left-field wall, his seventh bomb of the season. It marked the third time this season Conover has led off a game with a round-tripper.
The Cowboys doubled their lead with another long ball in the second. This time it was Shull smashing his 10th homer of the season to put OSU up 2-0.
The lead reached 3-0 in the fourth with yet another solo homer, this one off the bat of Norman, who sent a pitch over the left-field wall for his fifth blast of the year.
TTU cut into the Cowboys' lead in the fourth, getting a two-run homer from Logan Hughes to make the score 3-2.
In the sixth, it was Brueggemann's turn to join the home run parade as he cranked his 12th of the season over the center field wall to push the OSU lead back to two.
The Cowboys' lead reached four in the seventh when, with the bases loaded, Aidan Meola picked up an RBI on a fielder's choice and a throwing error led to another run and a 6-2 OSU advantage.
OSU added five insurance runs in the ninth, getting an RBI single from Ritchie, RBI walks from Campbell Smithwick, Brueggemann and Ezra Essex and an RBI hit by pitch from Shull.
The Cowboys return to action Tuesday in Tulsa when they take on Oral Roberts at ONEOK Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
