PHOENIX – Oklahoma State had its eight-game conference winning streak snapped Sunday at Phoenix Municipal Stadium as the 25^th-ranked Cowboys dropped an 11-7 contest to No. 16 Arizona State.

With the loss, OSU fell to 33-18 overall and 16-11 in Big 12 play, while the Sun Devils improved to 34-17 and 17-10 in the league.

Alex Conover continued his hot hitting for the Pokes, going 3-for-4 with a home run, while Sebastian Norman, Kollin Ritchie and Aidan Meola also homered for OSU.

Brennan Phillips took the loss on the mound to fall to 3-3 as the southpaw allowed eight runs on eight hits and struck out four.

ASU took an early lead with an unearned run in the first as Landon Hairston doubled, advanced to third on an error and scored on a sacrifice fly to put the home team up 1-0. But the Cowboys escaped further damage by turning their fifth double play of the weekend.

The Cowboys evened the score at 1-1 in the third as Conover smacked his 11^th homer of the season, a solo shot over the left-field wall.

The Sun Devils rallied for five runs in the third to regain the lead at 6-1, with the big blows coming on a three-run home run from Dominic Smaldino and a solo shot by Ky McGary.

ASU extended its lead in the fifth on another Smaldino homer, this one a two-run blast that made the score 8-1.

Norman put the Pokes back on the scoreboard in the sixth, delivering a pinch-hit, two-run homer to left field to cut into the ASU lead.

ASU's final two runs came on Smaldino's third home run of the game in the eighth.

Down to their final three outs, the Cowboys rallied for four runs in the ninth on a three-run homer from Ritchie, his 27^th of the season, which was followed by Meola's 16^th bomb of the season.

OSU concludes the regular season with four games this week. The Cowboys travel to Tulsa to take on Oral Roberts Tuesday night before their final Big 12 series at home against Arizona beginning Thursday night at O'Brate Stadium.
